Whether your spending isolation lounging, getting through your to-do list, binge-watching Netflix or working out a lot, high waisted leggings are the go-to comfy at-home clothes.
A question I often get asked is what are the best leggings for if you have a stoma. There are a few things I look for when trying to find leggings; are they high-wasited and will they support my stoma without being too tight.
I have tried a lot of leggings over the past few years; the first 6 months of having a stoma I wore nothing else! Comfort is key and comfort with a stoma means feeling supported. I don’t know about you but there’s nothing worse than feeling like your bag is just hanging with no support. BUT you never want to feel like your bag’s being suffocated by material with no room to fill up.
So here are some of my favourite leggings to wear with a stoma.
The best high waisted leggings to wear with a stoma

Tala Leggings – I got my first pair of Tala leggings about a year ago and quickly bought another pair in black because these are the perfect leggings to wear with a stoma. They’re super high waisted and are super stretchy but offer compression at the same time. As well as being comfy and stylish, Tala is also really ethical and uses sustainable materials!
I’m a UK size 10/12 and opted for a medium in them as I didn’t want them to be too tight. They’re so comfy and not see through either!

Puma exclusive to ASOS leggings – when I’m looking for leggings I always look to see just how high waisted they are. What’s great about these Puma ones is that they come above the belly button so you know that they’re not going to sit awkwardly on your stoma. I love the mix of bright coral on the black too!

Nike black ribbed just do it high waisted leggings – When it comes to leggings, Nike has been one of my go-to’s for a long time. They’re always good quality and feel supportive at the same times.

Pink Soda high waisted leggings – Pink Soda leggings are a great, affordable high waisted legging option. They cover your bag and are actually a really good thickness too. Whilst they don’t offer any compression, they are still supportive around the bag area!

Gymshark Flex high waisted leggings – these are such comfortable leggings which support your stoma really well and look good on. I’ve worn these to go walking (action shot over there 👈🏼), the gym and just lounging around and they are a really good all rounder.
So there are some of the best high waisted leggings. My two go to’s at the moment are my Gymshark and Tala ones but both are on the more expensive side. Pink Soda is a brilliant affordable option though and are often in the sale.
Tala, as well as been affordable, does have a really inclusive size range which I wanted to mention as well. From xs to xl and they have petite and tall ranges!
